Vegetable peelers are probably one of the lowliest utensils in the kitchen. Until you don’t have one, that is, then it’s one of the most important.

I have two of the swivel-type. They’re about 40 years old now and they still work, but they’re reaching the end of the line. Time to interview new candidates for the job.

These are some serious veggie feelers. I have never run into a veggie peeler that intimidates me but these do.

My peeler fell apart quite a while ago and I’ve just never bothered to replace since I don’t do a ton of cooking.

There are no moving parts on this type of peeler. It’s solidly built of stainless steel and wood.
